Daniel 11:40: "At the time of the end, the king of the South shall attack him; and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through."

The king of the South refers to Egypt and Israel. Egypt is a Sunni Muslim nation, but it operates as a secular state. It will not tolerate extremism! Recently, the Islamic Brotherhood government was removed by the military. This government had volunteers and an army fighting alongside Sunni rebels against Assad’s Shia government, which rules over more than 70% of the Sunni majority in Syria.

The king of the North represents the former Persian Empire, which includes Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon.

The Complex Landscape of Conflict

There are six groups fighting one another in this area:

1. The Shia: They govern Iran, Iraq, and Syria.

2. The Sunni: They are the majority in Syria and are rebelling against the ruling party in both Syria and Iraq.

3. ISIS the Sunni extremists: They formed the Sunni Caliphate in Syria and Iraq and are fighting everyone.

4. The Kurds: They are protecting their own land from ISIS and are rebelling against the ruling powers for independence.

5. The West: They support the Shia by disposing of Saddam Hussein in Iraq, but in Syria, they support the rebelling Sunnis.

   
   

The Start of World War 3

Daniel 11:29-30: "At the appointed time he shall return and go toward the south; but it shall not be like the former or the latter. For ships from Chittim (Western nations) shall come against him; therefore, he shall be grieved, and return in rage against the holy covenant, and do damage. So he shall return and show regard for those who forsake the holy covenant."

As soon as Iran (the king of the North) sends their full military might to attack Israel and its allies (the king of the South), ships from the West (Chittim) stationed in the Arabian Sea or Persian Gulf will immediately send their fighter jets, bombers, and missiles to destroy all of Iran's military bases and nuclear arsenal sites.

This will start World War 3!

Matthew 24:6-7: "And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places."

Since World War 3 (WW3) is imminent, fulfilling the rumors of wars, and with natural disasters killing a quarter of mankind, the whole world will be destroyed and made desolate! Without help, many will starve to death.

Revelation 6:7-8: "When He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, 'Come and see.' So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth."

Brethren, WW3 will definitely reduce everyone to paupers, desperate and in great despair! Hurricane Harvey’s destruction of Houston, Texas, and Hurricane Irma’s devastation of the Caribbean are just preludes to the disastrous effects of World War 3. We thank Holy God that He will use World War 3 to protect and nourish His faithful servants so that His name is glorified!
